A passive muff without electronics, with a slim profile. Twelve euros gets you a spare in your bag or a set for guests at the range.
Passive means no microphones, no amplification, no batteries. The muff attenuates everything, voices included. That is exactly why active muffs exist, but it is also the model that never runs flat and cannot break.
Don't see this as a replacement for an M31, but as an addition: one in the gun case, one for the guest who turns up without hearing protection. For that role it is the smartest twelve euros you'll spend.
